a few months back, i received a little press release about the maison scotch fall 2011 collection. while the amsterdam-based parent company, scotch & soda, has been around for a while, they only recently started their new women’s apparel line in the past couple of years. i like that you can tell that they have roots based in menswear with plenty of pieces “borrowed from the boys,” and i also love that this particular collection was influenced by the chic parisienne but with a laid-back attitude in mind.
now, i know i’m not typically one for distressed denim and slouchy layers, but after seeing the beautiful campaign and lookbook for the fall 2011 collection, i may be changing my tune. something about the crisp fall weather just gets me in the mood to wear pants and comfy layers filled with textures like cashmere, waffle knits, silk, corduroy, linen, and denim. even if i don’t pick up a few pieces this season, i will certainly be using these looks as styling inspiration for months to come.

What an amazing collection! I love the slouchy vibe–I’ll be using it for inspiration, too. It looks so comfy and chill. I went a bit Pinterest-crazy on this page, haha. Thanks for sharing!
