outfit: toot your horn

nope! your eyes are not deceiving you! my dress is indeed covered in teeny tiny trombones. it’s one of three rachel antonoff dresses i recently purchased. this one is especially fun because it is cut in a super mini length with a little layer of tulle beneath the skirt. the clean white silk is so pretty and perfect that it makes me feel a bit like a little doll, and the matching self belt is the perfect type of details that makes it feel more like something vintage. that coupled with the fact that it is made in the usa by a very awesome new york designer, makes this dress feel like something extra special. when i pulled it on to wear this weekend, i couldn’t help but think of it as my sunday best.

dress: rachel antonoff from modcloth
tights: tabbisocks 80 denier tights
shoes: vintage salvatore ferragamo flats
bag: rebecca minkoff covet satchel
lipstick: nars fire down below
bracelet: handmade by giantlion on etsy
bracelet: jewelmint mesh marvel bracelet

  1. super adorable print for a dress! I’ve been hoping to find a dress with harps all over it someday, and trombones are fun too! love your tights:) have the same shade and they work with everything!

  2. Ah I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it, no wonder it instantly felt like a sunday best when you put it on!
I love the way your tattoo reveals itself through the mustard tights, it adds that little bit of ‘special’ to them ;)

  3. Ah! Yet another dress I fell absolutely in love with!!! I can only hope it will go on sale one day and I can snag one up. The length is absolutely perfect!!

  4. I am actually really loving that buckle bracelet. It looks like a miniature belt, what a good idea! I always look for odd print when thrifting, it seems to be everywhere!

  5. I LOVE this dress, Erin! Such a cute print and shape – the tulle is a great addition! You are so lucky to work for Modcloth, your job sounds quite similar to mine but I would love to work for a company like Modcloth! Lookingh forward to seeing the other Rachel Antonoff dresses that you have purchased xx

  6. I’m so happy to see the yellow tights! I have a pair very similar in color that I got from JCrew last season, but I haven’t been able to mix them into an outfit just the right way. This gives me some new inspiration and I’m determined to make them work.
    Truly, you’re a hero.
