aaaand today marks part three of my series of outfits that i styled for ralph lauren denim & supply. i can’t explain exactly what it is (perhaps it’s the socal girl in me) that was drawn to this dress, but something about the voluminous and romantic silhouette balanced out by a dark and luxurious black fabric was calling my name. i immediately went for my dark floppy hat and matching red lipstick for a witchy vibe, and added the vintage blouse as the little touch of innocent to an otherwise dark look. once i stepped outside, i asked myself why i don’t more frequently wear these types of flowy skirts. i was prancing all over, swishing the fabric around my legs and watching it billow in the breeze. oh, and the best part is that this dress doubles as a nightgown. after we went out for lunch, i took off the belt and the high heels and plopped onto the couch for a mid-afternoon nap.
dress: ralph lauren denim & supply tiered pintuck dress
top: vintage hand crocheted blouse
hat: felt hat from the drugstore
shoes: rosegold danielle pumps
bag: rebecca minkoff covet satchel
lipstick: ysl rouge pur couture in le rouge

What a fun looking dress! I find that because I’m so short, long dresses tend to drown me and make me look kind of ridiculous. I’m jealous that you get to prance around in that and look great.
fun retro look!

Beautiful!
Such an inspiration to wear a dress I don’t really know what to pair with. I’ll have to add a pair of layers (so jelaous of the sunny & hot weather lol), but it’s very inspirational.
Hee! That’s my neighborhood! Also I love your hat!
Wow, what a great pictures! I’m in love with your styling!
You are looking SO pretty here Erin! I love your slightly grown out bob (it makes me feel tempted to chop my hair all off!) I kind of have a recent obsession with plum shades lately, so I adore your hat! Gorgeous!

I love flowy skirts and know you don’t really seem to wear them often, but this is such a gorgeous outfit on you.
Absolutely love those pumps and how you layered a lacey/crochet top under that dress – perfect for the season.

I agree with the other readers. You look really beautiful in this outfit. I would love that hat. I’d wear it with a black dress too.
