today i’m excited to announce that i will be guest contributing to the dahlia uk blog for the next few months! i have long been a fan of their feminine and playful designs, so it was a pleasure when they asked me if i’d like to contribute! for my first guest post, i picked out this prim and proper navy shift dress with a little embellished collar. it vaguely reminds me of the dresses that the nuns used to wear when i went to catholic school as a little girl, so i thought i’d have some fun with it and add a floral crown in the spirit of some of my favorite religious iconography. throw in a pastel bag (this new mint purse has been hanging on my arm almost every day lately), and you’re ready for an evening stroll to the cemetery. not kidding, these shots were snapped on the way to the mountain view cemetery near my house, but by the time we got there, the last of the sun had set and the gates were closed for the evening.

beautiful! i want the whole outfit. :) also, i started working at denm on state street. you should stop by if you’re coming to redlands soon!
Your floral head piece is literally the best thing I’ve seen all day. Awesome! x
Such a perfect outfit. Simple, yet chic and not overworked at all. That dress is like the perfect go-to summer or fall…I might just need it! As always, beautiful.
I love the mix of the rigid + bohemian! Also, you always have the best “in motion” shots- I can never get them just right.
Looks cute. I can see how this dress is similar to Catholic fashion of sorts. I used to secretly want to be a nun when I was 14, but I’m Protestant, so that would not work out as well as I had wanted (plus I wanted to marry).
super cute look!!!
I love Dahlia! So pleased you’ll be blogging for them:) And pockets on a dress are always a winner.
