and of course, i saw the tavi video where i learned that the collection was inspired by bonnie and clyde, rosemary’s baby, and harold and maude. but honestly, this tulle dress speaks to my inner lydia deetz. i was obsessed with tim burton in high school (frankenweenie, beetlejuice and the nightmare before christmas) and even went through a (very) brief faze in which i wore white face makeup. and well, i never got a dress like this back then, so i think i must be making up for it now.
anyway, i got it to wear for new years but i had to play dress up and figure out how to style it. i asked my boyfriend for help and he said he prefers the black lace tights, even though it’s pretty literal this way. i also tried it with nude lace tights and leopard tights. the leopard was too much.

I bought the black tulle one too!! Isn't it gorgeous? I gotta say that I love the dress styled with the black tights, but the white ones go with the dress nicely too.

The Target collaborations are always a little disappointing and a little matchy matchy in a weirdly banal way but the new Rodarte for Target collection is really extraordinary, I think, and this outfit post confirms it! You look really pretty in this dress and the signature Rodarte tulle is so so striking!

Oh my I was longing for that dress (especially the cream version) when I was at Target a couple of days ago! Sadly, they only had them in Large and X-large, so it wasn't meant to be. (perhaps for the best, I'm too broke even for Target right now!)

The black was my favorite color in that dress (the nude kind of looked like a nightgown to me and the mustard was all wrong), and I think the black tights with it are so awesome!! I just ordered the lace tights from the collection online (well, 2 hours ago, and they are already out of stock, wow) and hope to wear those two together.
