alright, well today’s outfit was directly inspired by yesterday’s post about an editorial in numero magazine. i loved the pretty little sheer top with frilly, fluffy ruffles and remembered that i bought a similar vintage blouse a few months back. i really wanted to wear it and knew that it would look great layered with a little pinafore or something, but i just never felt inspired to wear it. and well, it’s laundry day and most of my clothes are scattered around the floor, so i only had a few options for clean clothing hanging on my racks. enter “the chictopia dress” that i received from modcloth as one of the winners of the chictopia10 contest back in february. the bell shape of the skirt instantly reminded me of the dress in the editorial and well, that was that.

you must have heard this a thousand times. i love your tats!
Very cute! it's so girly and yet sophisticated :)
So cute! The tatoo on your calf is so awesome with the short dress!
it works fantastically well!
These tights look awesome. At first I was like, oh sheer black tights – that is a nice change; then I saw the back and was like, oh super awesome seam going up the back – very very chic.
I especially love that you can see the tattoo on your calf through it, very cool.
wonderful dress and I love those seam stockings. I need a pair :)
I love that top under your dress

ah I love when you layer shirts under a dress, you always pull it off so well! I think I need to invest in dresses that I can see shirts underneath, I love it.

I really like all the pieces together, like a modern take on black and white. Also, the more I see your hair the more I love it.
Ooh, adorable outfit. I love the blouse.
I love the detailing on your top, it' really pretty :)
what an adorable look! You look so amazing! love your pics on the roof! so great!
Terribly cute. That blouse is a dream.
I am slightly jealous that you can wear nylons with sling backs. My heels are retarded and the sling back part just slips off constantly.
I love that roof of yours..it adds so much to all of these pictures. Also – these tights are to die for and so is ..this whole outfit infact! I just love everything. I never know what to write in comments to you because im always just in awe of all of your clothes.

How very lovely !
That blouse is utterly amazing… the whole outfit is! :) I just love the way the little ruffles criss-cross across the ground fabric for the blouse; such a lovely detail!
Seeing those shoes again is making me figure out if I can swing asking my in-laws for those for my birthday this year. They've been on my wishlist for awhile, and I love how you've been styling them into more modern ensembles. :)

LOVE the hose! Do people still use that word? Being the broke lady I am, perhaps I'll just use a Sharpie ala 1940s recessionista and avoid water or sweating at all costs.
What a cute dress. I've been particularly smitten by all things puffy, lacey, frilly, etc this Spring. And those stocking – holy smokes!
Loving this jumper!
