and just like that, the rain came. this weekend, i woke up on both saturday and sunday morning to the sound of rain drops outside my window. i’ve never been a huge fan of the rain, but it was actually welcome weather, perfectly appropriate for my lazy weekend spent curled up on the couch watching bad tv. that’s right, for the first time in my adult life, i have cable television. we set it up on friday and it’s been nice to sit there watching silly movies on demand. and it’s especially nice for chilling out and regrouping after a whirlwind trip to boston last week! i don’t think i mentioned it here, but i was gone for a couple of days visiting one of the kork-ease offices for their spring 2011 lookbook photoshoot! the only catch is that i can’t share any photos of the new shoes just yet.
and can you believe that i didn’t get any pictures of boston while i was there? it was just too quick of a trip! but it was a beautiful place for certain. i’d never been there before and i was definitely blown away by all of the bright orange and fire red leaves in the trees. we just don’t have that type of thing here in california! i can definitely see the appeal in actual seasons.

The coat is so pretty, love it :)
I adore this outfit. I love the dress ruffles and your coat. Your hat kind of reminds me of Maria from the Sound of Music, just before she goes to meet the family. Love it!
Can't wait to hear more about your photoshoot — it sounds exciting! Congrats.

Wow amazing outfit!
Specially the raincoat, so pretty!
I love everything about this outfit! That sailor trench is perfect :)
Hope you had some time to enjoy my city during your whirlwind trip. I'm looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor once the lookbook is ready! I also had a very lazy weekend, but didn't have the rain to justify the copious amounts of terrible television that I consumed. Cable is both a blessing and a curse… just you wait!

Your whole outfit is darling. I just love that coat!
I like your dress and combination is good even with the mix of blue and brown…I have never do it lol
so cute!!
very cool nice flats.
Love your look today – cute coat and the colours in that dress are wonderful. Almost a Madras stripe rather than a Madras check.
I find it so strange that you don't have seasons – I think that would really mess with my head and I wouldn't know which month it was. But then I'm easily confused. :-)
100% adorable.
best trench coat everrrrrrrr <3
We've been having a bunch of rainy days here in NC too… Kinda a bummer, but it definitely does make for some cozy couch moments!
I'd be pleased about a spot of rain with a gorgeous trench like that too!
Exciting stuff about your Boston trip!
Love your trench! I am always looking for inspiration on how to wear mine, definately a rotating peice in my closet :)

So envious that you got to visit Boston in Autumn. Definitely one of my favorite cities and, hands down, one of the prettiest places to experience picturesque Fall weather!
Amazing outfit. I like how you use a lot of different colors, but all the shades match perfectly in the outfit.
The moment I saw these Ferragamo's on here I trawled Etsy and eBay until I found myself a pair. I am waiting for them in the mail and I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration!
Can I ask where you got yours? I noticed there was a huge variation in the prices different sellers were charging for them!
