and the summer is here! this was the first weekend of the year that i could actually call hot. as in, so hot i wish i had a swimming pool and so hot that it’s basically impossible to stay inside of my sweltering apartment. and of course, i celebrated by wearing yet another sailor-inspired piece of clothing! i swear, half of my summer wardrobe revolves around the sailor motif. anyway, this is actually one of the outfits i wore for my bike video, riding around lake merritt near my house (except i wore flats). it was such a pleasant day that of course half the city was hanging around the water, sitting in the grass, and enjoying the weather.

Such a simple outfit, but so wonderful! The skirt is so great!
Love the simplicity of this look but the boat patterns makes the whole outfit look gorgeous and so summer-y!!
<3
precious! Love that print.
perfect summer outfit
The skirt is just fabulous…nautical is always a great choice.
The little boat print on your skirt is too cute! Nautical themes are the best. I love those simple bright colours, and the bag looks perfect with it. Your hair is also adorable, by the way!
Your skirt is absolutely adorable, I love love love it!!! I am so envious of your summer weather, it’s winter here and I am a bit over the rain + the ‘putting on one milllion layers before leaving the house’ thing! xxx
Great outfit! I love the pops of colour and the length of your skirt! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled so I can wear something similar!
Great outfit! Looks like such a lovely day too! It’s been awhile since I’ve seen that kind of weather (it’s winter here).
I don’t comment enough but your outfits are always perfection.

aww pretty skirt!!! adore the boat print :)
I know! sailor stuff keeps popping up in my closet too. I just can’t seem to have enough of it! but that’s because it’s awesome… awesome like your outfit.
Love your sailboat skirt! And it looks so good with the racerback tank and straw bag. So effortless and stylish for a hot day (easier said than done). XOXO Kathleen
I really want that skirt! Nautical all the way!
holy crap, it was HOT here in the city today – 84! unbelievable!
and that skirt is suuuuper cute!!!
⤠your skirt and hair cut!!
Oh the sailboat skirt is just too pretty!

I adore the skirt so much!!! It’s beautiful! I’m glad the weather is nicer there for you since I know you said it had been cold for a while. Go swim!! Do you not have air conditioning in your home?
nope! no air conditioning. i find that most homes and apartments here in the bay area (especially the older ones), don’t have air conditioning. or insulation! we have such temperate weather, that it isn’t usually a necessity. though it makes for some unpleasant days in both the summer and the winter…
such an amazing skirt!
Love your Swedish Hasbeens!
Cute outfit!! I really love the sailboat, nautical skirt with the yellow bag, such a fun contrast. Great blog, glad I stumbled upon it :)
