after yesterday’s super summery post, i thought i’d switch gears just a little to share the frances baker fall 2012 collection. if you hadn’t already seen these photos floating around the web, then you’re in for a treat! this collection is handmade in the southern hemisphere where the temperatures are a little bit less than warm this time of year. though honestly, these looks would be perfect for the san francisco summer… i just love the preppy, schoolgirl vibes in these simple yet elegant pieces, and can already see them fitting perfectly into my transitional wardrobe later this year!
no. 6 spring 2012
you may remember a while back i wrote a post in admiration of the no. 6 blog. i find the free spirited movement of the images so fun and playful! so i was delighted to see their new spring 2012 footwear lookbook filled with even more of their lovely photos. and equally amazing shoes! i think my absolute favorite pair from the collection is the lace up corset clog in that vivid honey yellow!
arabella ramsay fall 2012
i know we are fast approaching summer, but while we’re enjoying the warming temperatures, the southern hemisphere is slipping into fall and winter weather. and this season, arabella ramsay released a beautiful collection just for the occasion. “the apple of my isle” fall 2012 may be a bit warm for us right now, but i have a few pieces on my wishlist that i think will transition pretty seamlessly from season to season. i am, of course, smitten with that mustard yellow shift dress above, but am equally excited about the eclectic mix of stripes, florals, animal prints, and crochet. i’m sharing just a few of my favorites, so you’ll have to swing over to the arabella ramsay site to see the rest!

marais usa spring 2012
i know one or two of these images has been floating around the web for a little bit, but i am so smitten with the marais usa spring 2012 lookbook, that i just had to share it here! last year, i was fortunate to meet the marias girls during a trip to nyc, and i was so delighted by their cool company, laid back attitude, and awesome shoes. i love that they make an effort to create affordable yet fashionable shoes, never letting the price tag soar over $160 with many styles clocking in around the $90 range. i was actually able to visit the showroom and take a look at all of these styles and i can say that if you can believe it, they’re even cuter in real life. now my only predicament is which pair to get!

ymc spring 2012
ah, it’s seems like there is a never-ending stream of perfect spring collections! or at least that’s how i feel about ymc spring 2012. the looks are so perfectly styled for a look that’s one part springy simplicity, one part chic adventurer. i am smitten with the cute sandals and sleek chelsea boots and i think i need that cute toggle coat!
summerland spring lookbook
i know this lookbook has been out for a little while, but better late than never! ever since i laid my eyes on the summerland spring 2012 lookbook, i have been in love. and what’s more? it was a collaborative effort between some of my favorite ladies on the web! if you aren’t familiar with summerland boutique, it’s a very beautiful online shop run by the ladies behind the blog cat party, which has been offering up some of my favorite inspirational content for years. and they teamed up with the multi-talented anja of clever nettle, another totally awesome blogger babe, and the photographer of this shoot. seeing the product of their creative efforts just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. and of course, they are featuring many of my favorite designers, so definitely go check out the shop if you haven’t already!
need supply spring 2012 lookbook
after posting the 1970s-era tennis-inspired boast lookbook last week, i received a little tip off to another sporty selection of photographs styled by the folks over at need supply. this wes anderson-inspired editorial features a ton of my favorite designers, playfully styled with just the right amount of sporty prep.

wren summer 2012
it just so happens to be raining outside this morning, but that isn’t keeping me from planning out my summer outfits! they’ll all be lined up in my closet, ready for the warmer weather. one such collection that i could easily see making an appearance in my wardrobe is the wren summer 2012 collection.
“shot by jeana sohn of closet visit, this collection was inspired by travels to the southwest and a visit to frank lloyd wright’s taliesin west house. i was drawn to the colors and rich textures of the environment and wanted to translate these ideas into my designs.” -melissa coker, wren.
these easy pieces range from cool ikat prints to stunning solid pieces in bright orange, coral, white, and blue. and i love the very simple styling by giorgia tramontano with an old pair of tassle oxfords and cool shades.

yestadt millinery fall 2012
if you’ve been following me for a while on this blog, then you know i love a good hat. i definitely go through phases when i wear them more or less often, but if you step into my closet, you’ll find the top of a huge shelf stacked high with vintage hats. so when the yestadt millinery fall 2012 lookbook arrived in my inbox the other day, i was pretty darn excited to see what they’d come up with this season. and yet again, they have such a beautiful selection of finely crafted hats with a vintage aesthetic that’s got me swooning. i’ve been lusting after the perfect little beret-inspired topper, and i’m pretty sure my hunt is over! throw in a chic little baseball cap, that epic lavender number, and perhaps a classy fedora, and i’m sold!
rachel antonoff spring 2012 lookbook
you may remember the photos (and video) that i posted several months back featuring the rachel antonoff spring 2012 presentation during new york fashion week (though if you don’t, i highly recommend you check it out because it was my favorite presentation of the season!) after patiently waiting for the spring season to hit stores, the lookbook is finally out. and if you’re a fan of arrested development, then you might get a kick out of the model, mae whitman, who was george michael’s girlfriend in the show. she’s also featured alia shawkat (maebe funke) in previous lookbooks, which is pretty delightful if you’ve rewatched every episode of arrested development a million times like me!
anyway, it’s nice to be able to see all of the pieces displayed in this spooky setting. and i’m more excited than ever to be able to wear spring dresses just like these. and if that’s not enough, you can also check out my photos from the rachel antonoff fall 2012 presentation here or take a peek at her current collaboration with bass shoes here. i already placed a preorder for the clear vinyl espadrilles!
