today i am very pleased to share my latest giveaway courtesy of nadinoo. i have been a fan of designer nadia izruna’s work since her very first collection several years ago, and i’ve enjoyed every single piece that i’ve owned over the years. one thing that’s fun about following a designer over the years is to watch the way they evolve over time, and even more fun is when their style evolves right along with your own. for her latest collection, the good life, nadia was inspired by the english countryside, but she was also interested in creating a practical collection that she could wear fir herself since becoming a new mother with a very active toddler to watch after. so of course, every piece in the collection is pretty much perfect. she has loads of pretty illustrated prints with very practical construction in mind. i love the swingy smock dresses and form fitting wraps. and today, i am so excited to offer you the chance to win any one item from the good life collection!

today i am very pleased to announce my latest giveaway courtesy of zimmerman shoes. we currently own both the 1962 milo boots and stevie sandals, and they are hands down our favorite baby shoes! zimmerman is a family-owned and operated business that started in 1962 by the current owners’ great-grandfather milo. he purchased the historic kepner scott shoe factory, which was built in pennsylvania in 1888, and the family has been hand-crafting shoes there ever since. many of the current styles are heritage designs from their long history as a brand, all made by hand right here in the united states. if you are going to buy a nice, solid pair of shoes, then you should definitely consider this brand. in particular, adam has been wearing his milo boots for the past few months and they have held up beautifully. he really gives his shoes a beating between running around in the dirt and dragging his feet on the sidewalk while he rides around on his push bike. and if i give him the option to choose what shoes he wants to wear for the day, he always grabs those boots! i’m a sucker for the way the cream leather wears and ages over time, and i really like the weight of the soles. the perfect step up from a soft soled shoe, but strong enough for a toddler without being so hard that he can’t feel his feet on the ground. anyway, i think you get the picture. we really love these shoes and i am so happy to have teamed up with them to offer you the chance to win $120. just enough for two pairs of these classic shoes.

i first learned about the spanish-based brand royal caballito a couple of years ago, shortly after designer diana saldana launched her shop. i was immediately drawn to her whimsical designs and dreamy lookbook images, and have been following her ever since! her spring 2015 collection is one of my favorites to date, with lots of fun, patterned knitwear in easy, wearable designs. and as always, i love supporting small designers who focus on creating quality garments using sustainable practices. all of the pieces are sewn in a small professional workshop in spain with great attention to detail. and as you can tell from the photos, some of my favorites are the lluvia top and skirt, which can easily be worn as a set, or mixed and matched into your wardrobe in endless combinations.  this bold, cobalt blue is my favorite color lately, but they also come in green, coral pink, dusty grey, and aquamarine.

one of the coolest parts about writing this blog is that it gives me the unique opportunity to connect with new and emerging designers. such was the case when i recently met titi, the designer behind london-based brand, ifẹ’s closet. i was instantly drawn to her designs because of the way she combines classic, vintage-inspired silhouettes with laid-back style, and stunning west african prints. many elements of her designs were inspired by the women in her own family, and are an integral part of the daily life and culture in west africa. so of course, i was delighted to not only have the opportunity to try a few of her designs for myself, but to offer you the chance to win any one in-stock item from her shop!

ever since i got this hat from brookes boswell a couple of months ago, it has been permanently glued to my head. i try not to wear it some days, but it somehow seems to add the perfect finishing touch to practically every outfit i own! it’s one of those pieces that seems like i’ve always owned it. an instant classic, if you will. so of course, i was delighted when brookes asked me if i’d like to host a giveaway to offer you the opportunity to win one for yourself! brookes boswell millinery was founded in 2009 after the designer completed her apprenticeship with one of the city’s longtime milliners. her background in architectural design, fine art and textiles, give brookes a keen eye for precision, a love of fine materials, and an appreciation for the construction techniques used in the trade. each piece is individually made by hand with only the highest quality materials right in new york city, so you know you are supporting a great business and a solid product.

i’m happy to say that adam and i are finally recovering from that nasty cold we caught last week. and it couldn’t have come at a better time because today just so happens to be my birthday. i ended up postponing my own party plans until next week, but in the meantime, i decided to celebrate with a giveaway! i’ve partnered up with san francisco-based knitwear designer micaela greg to offer you the chance to win $150 to the shop!
