    The safari shirt, i don't have any other way of describing it but, ya'll know what i'm talking about. I think that this is the quintessential summer, Africa hot staple in your wardrobe. Man or woman, any color from white to army green, beige or any pastel. Light fabric, women can wear it as a dress, belted with shorts or slacks. I could go on, completely versatile. Instant sexy!

    I love these scalloped shorts they're perfect for summer. They make me think of summer getaways at the hearst castle with Charlie Chaplin. And if i were to travel back in time I would take with me this floral swim suit from American apparel.

    Espadrilles are definitely my summer trend to love love love. While I do love wedges, espadrilles define summer for me in a way wedges cannot, with the texture on the wedge heels and the crazy patterns and materials that can be used so that you can dress them up and dress them down. Espadrilles can be worn to the beach, adding that bit of glamor that is usually missing at the beach, and without worry that you are ruining them (my experience with wedges has taught me that is definitely not the smartest thing to do!). And then espadrilles can just as easily be worn to celebrate another summer night into the wee hours of the morning with just a few alterations to one's outfit. And, of course, they may be the most comfortable shoe known to woman!

    I have been searching for some cute brown wedge-heels. Anthropologie's Big Sky wedges are my favorite. They go well with all skirts, dresses and shorts which is what i'll be wearing this summer. Erin, all your adorable outfits have inspired this choice. I love you in your wedges!

Biking around the city wearing them under a skirt makes me feel like I have some sort of secret superpower (possibly just the ability to be comfortable/decent and not look like a complete dork)

    i went for high waisted shorts – i think they're more comfy than high waisted skirts, and they have a vintage appeal that not a lot of people are brave enough to try out yet! i also really love wedge sandals for summer, but i didn't want to do the same thing you searched for :P

    floral shorts are definitely THE summer pick for me. they're shorts – something everyone wears in the hot summer heat, but they're a little quirkier and prettier with a cute floral touch. little flower prints make me dream of frolicking through a sweet flower field in the middle of a hot day in the summer, whilst sipping lemonade and taking "artistic" photographs. :)

    Or culottes! But the items actually labeled culottes were pretty weak. (wide shorts that look like a skirt – what's NOT to love?) Silk is cooling and sexy and needs to be done more! Added to the wedge trend and that is an outfit that needs a second look.
