after recently going in for my annual eye exam, i started hunting around the web for a new pair of frames. two years back, i went on a major hunt for a certain pair of 3.1 phillip lim glasses in black (they actually have a pair in brown available at la garconne!). and while i usually only wear my contact lenses these days, i still feel like i can’t really get into wearing glasses again unless i’ve got more than one pair. the only issue is that i have a pretty gnarly prescription, which means i end up paying top dollar (upwards of $400) just for the lenses. enter warby parker: they sell the frames with the prescription (polycarbonate included) for $95 flat. and for every pair you buy, they donate a second pair to someone in need. win!
now i just have to figure out which pair i’m gonna order first.

I have the Miles and I love them! All the people at Warby Parker are so completely nice, their customer service is amazing. I tried 5 of them on at home for free and the process could not be easier.

I like the Webb and Filmore styles, in tortoise shell. I don't wear glasses, but I like to pretend on Polyvore haha.

I AM TOTALLY IN THE SAME BOAT. Plus the new pair I got like a year and a half ago have broken twice, and I have no money to get new ones, so it's back to my old pair with the paint chipping off. Having bad eyes stinks.

i was very very wary about ordering glasses without trying them (the WP Huxleys were not available for home try on when i was looking), but i bit the bullet and am SOOOOO HAPPY! i have the huxleys in whiskey tortoise and could not be happier! great experience! :)

I have the Fillmores and I love them (mine are black). I've read a few claims that they aren't the highest quality but I think that's a bunch of baloney. I have a pair of Cutler & Gross frames that cost me a small fortune and they are not of some magical higher quality at all.

i'm on my second pair. i just got a pair of pink ones. i know what you mean about paying top dollar for decent ones, especially when i have to upgrade my prescription every 6 months. eeek!
