primark spring 2011

i know, i know.  it’s snowing in many parts of the world right now and we still have a few more months of winter here in the northern hemisphere, but it’s never too soon to start thinking about the season ahead! i just came across some images from the primark spring 2011 lookbook that got me pretty excited about collecting pieces for the warmer months.  too bad i won’t be able to get my hands on any of these pieces here in the u.s., but at least i can admire them from afar.

  1. I'm actually quite excited about this collection. I don't usually get a lot of things from Primark, but some of these pieces look like true gems x

  2. I really like this collection! It's snowing here in Shanghai tonight, but I'm already dreaming of pastel dresses and sandals. Good thing I'm headed to Thailand for vacation this month! :] I wish there was a Primark store around here…

  3. Throw some tights and a coat on the last two looks and they are completely applicable to winter. I love these longer knee length skirts and I hope they are everywhere in the next few months.

  4. Wow, some of the pieces are really nice. I wonder what they actually look like in person though.. Whenever I browse around the shops I'm shocked at the quality.. But I have to say they make fab tote bags. My absolute favourite stripey bag is from Primark that I bought about 8 years ago and it's still going strong. There are a few gems in Primark in amongst the piles of other stuff.

  5. Oh my god, I never even new Primark did lookbooks! Sadly when you see the clothes up close they'll mostly be falling apart and will be all sorts of weird sizes…

  6. Lovin the high waisted palazzo pants in the ditsy print….oooh I can feel some dressmaking coming on!That's a really good look.
    xxx

  7. So surreal to see this on here! I love the midi skirt, just hope the quality's okay… I think it's one of the strongest collection's Primark has done and just goes to show the power of the blogosphere that it's on here!

  8. no worries mate. I live close to the primark on oxford street. I can be your UK link to the cheap fashions. email if interested. :)

  9. I didnt think Primark would have been your thing, but they really are coming in to their own.
Fashion is for everyone and Primark provides that with their amazing prices!
    Great post!
Ive bought alot from Primark and my items are still going strong, faux leather pants i bought were better quality than topshop ones i bought that fell apart as soon as i put them on.
But then at the prices Primark do no one should really expect high quality.

  10. The styling and photos might look good, but it would take a lot to convince me to go inside Primark. The quality is terrible and their ethics questionable. Fast fashion at its worst.

  11. LLYMLRS did a post on this some time ago and I instantly fell in love. I adore the skirt lengths, especially! I wish Primark were available to the rest of the world…

  12. so love these, and no matter the rain I've been wearing full skirts and sweaters (and two pairs of tights) and I'm thinkin' it's warmer than jeans!

  13. Yes, i absolutely love this collection! Primark is one of my favorite shops, we have 2 in Holland; both more than 45 minutes away from Amsterdam, which gives me a good buffer so I won't go there too often. I set a once-a-month limit! Everything is so ridiculously cheap that you end up buying WAY too much and still spend a ton more than you were planning to.

If you're loving any items in particular, just send me an e-mail and I'll see if they have them! I'm planning to go on monday or tuesday. Love! xx

  14. What a lovely collection. It has such a nice spring attitude about it. Wish it would get a little warmer here in the Bay area!
    XOXO

  15. A lot of cute looks here! The model's poses are hysterical though. She looks like she has to go to the bathroom in every shot.

  16. Love the red top and the wide leg trousers – that's a keeper for the inspiration folder.
