i recently came across the yestadt millinery spring 2011 look book and instantly fell in love with their vintage-inspired collection of hats and turbans, which can easily be translated into a modern wardrobe. yestadt millinery is based out of new york and makes custom hats on both a made-to-measure and wholesale basis. while i’m having serious doubts that these will fit into my budget, i am suddenly dreaming of popping in to get my own custom turban for spring!

Millinery is my passionate. This is amazing. Sorry I have to respond to your email, thanks for a thorough response. Enjoy NYFW, I’m so jealous, I was meant to go, but plans changed. See you when you’re back? :)

I love hats! I just don’t have a good shaped head, so very rarely do I find a hat that looks right!

I love these hats. Thanks for sharing them with us! I’ve never been much of a hat wearer but am feeling tempted these days to venture into the hat wearing realms. Hats like these make me want to even more!
They are all so lovely! I especially love that beige one in the first picture and that beige and red bow with the veil, so pretty! <3
wow, I am stunned by how beautiful these hats are!
Oh, they’re all incredibly lovely. I love how they all look modern enough to be able to incorporate into a virtually every-day wardrobe, with a bit of imagination! The colours are so stunning, too. x
I especially love the turban in the first row, on the right, and the one on the last row, on the left. I love the fabric

Erin, I’m so happy you shared this collection. These are some lovely toppers!
These are beautiful. Thanks for the introduction. I love the red and navy bow ones
Wow, these are so gorgeous! I love that last one. I bet if they’re too expensive, you could definitely do some sort of DIY project.
I love the third, and fourth ones. I could see myself wearing the brim hat to the beach, and with a full skirted dress.I feel like turbans are getting really trendy, and I’m not sure if I would spring for a custom one. I think it would look great on you though.

I love the fabric of the pleated turban – so striking!
I really like that multi coloured turban on the first row. The pleats definitely adds a unique touch

I love these! Absolutely gorgeous!
Turbans are actually making their come-back! I think I’m going to try to make one myself…
Lovely post!

I have something of a hat obsession (over fifty and counting – they’re mostly vintage), and I love these ones you’ve come across here! You can really tell that they are vintage inspired. And it seems that there is something of a turban renaissance going on at the moment – they’ve been popping up everywhere!

Vintage hats are the best! Girls who wear vintage hats look even more beautiful. It’s like a unique fashion statement that makes ladies become confident inside and out. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos of vintage ladies hats :)
Beautiful. Is it just me or can you see these sort of creations being in the new version of the Great Gatsby? Such class

Those are swoon-worthy for sure…
Those are all beautiful! I love hats but I find they just don’t look good on my head. But I think I could pull off a turban.
