last week, i went on a little photo shoot for the style resolutions series on the modcloth blog. we headed out on a stormy day to try to get some shots, but unfortunately, we only got a few snaps before it started to rain. and i couldn’t remove my hand from my head for fear of losing my hat in the wind! but this was my outfit for the day. almost all vintage except for my jeffrey campbell heels and my trusty satchel. i’ve been meaning to get back to wearing more vintage lately, but with a very busy schedule, it can be hard to make it out to the thrift shops, especially because it takes a lot of digging to find just one prized possession. but i’m trying to remember to take more time to do the things i love, thrifting included!
in fact, you can read more about it on our latest modcloth post, style resolutions: round two! and a very special thank you to kristin cofer for taking these photos!
hat: vintage wool hat from mars mercantile

skirt: vintage halston artichoke print skirt from pretty penny

Dang wind, but the hat is lovely and I am glad still with you.

Love windy days, but it’s true that if you a wearing a hat it stops being fun pretty soon. Lovely outfit, like the colours, the deep brown with a bit of dark green. Perfect for a windy and wet day :)
I love the warm, earthy tones in this outfit! And every time I see a gal sporting that Modcloth satchel, I want it a little bit more! ;)
another perfect outfit! excellent!
I love the print on that skirt! So pretty! Also loving how you’ve styled it.

I love this outfit! It’s so casual but also not. The patterned skirt is lovely : )
I’m a thrift-aholic so I love thrifted/vintage finds – drop by if you have time.
I love the darkgreen and brown combo in this outfit! The pattern on the skirt is so cute and you really suit the hat!
I love love the colors of this outfit! I also adore the hat and pretty stormy location. Where is that??
I don’t know the exact location because we just pulled over in the car, but it’s in SF near AT&T park!
All sorts of cute and adorable. You are spell-binding.
this is such a classic look! the print on that skirt is too fun.
that skirt is such a beauty!

Lovely getup lady. Glad you’re sticking to your resolution.
Me encantan tus andanzas.
besos desde Barcelona,
Xavi
Great out fit- lovely skirt.

Seriously in awe of this outfit. I love love love this skirt. I adore it. I love it. I worship it. Haha Gossip Girl reference. I love artichoke, I want to eat artichoke! It’s just such a whimsical and delightful print. Also, where is this location? And let’s meet and do a shoot soon! I’ll be gone for ten days for Spring Break, but when I’m back? :)
great shots- that dock is incredible, as is the artichoke skirt!
well this outfit is beautiful!!
Is it just me or do you not get as many comments as you used to? That’s sad if that’s the truth. You deserve it because you have always had some of the greatest entries ever.
thank you, lady! it’s true that comments aren’t what they used to be, but the interesting thing is that my traffic is up higher than ever! win some, lose some? haha!
