you may remember the photos (and video) that i posted several months back featuring the rachel antonoff spring 2012 presentation during new york fashion week (though if you don’t, i highly recommend you check it out because it was my favorite presentation of the season!) after patiently waiting for the spring season to hit stores, the lookbook is finally out. and if you’re a fan of arrested development, then you might get a kick out of the model, mae whitman, who was george michael’s girlfriend in the show. she’s also featured alia shawkat (maebe funke) in previous lookbooks, which is pretty delightful if you’ve rewatched every episode of arrested development a million times like me!
anyway, it’s nice to be able to see all of the pieces displayed in this spooky setting. and i’m more excited than ever to be able to wear spring dresses just like these. and if that’s not enough, you can also check out my photos from the rachel antonoff fall 2012 presentation here or take a peek at her current collaboration with bass shoes here. i already placed a preorder for the clear vinyl espadrilles!

Fabulous collection and I love the photos! :)
LOVE this collection. I really want some Bass oxfords!
what a fantastic collection! i also love that you seemed to forget her name was anne in the show….just like how Michael seemed to constantly forget of confuse her name. it made me laugh. :) thanks!
yes! my favorite nickname of hers was “egg,” haha!
LOVE love love that collection! and of course love the model! :) I’ve re-watched Arrested Development a million times too :)

Love these images! The model is gorgeous. But she looks really familiar. Is she on television?
haha, yes. she’s the girl who played george michael’s girlfriend on arrested development! her character’s name was ann, but michael could never seem to remember her name and often gave her hilarious nicknames, like “egg.” too good.
I’m pretty sure she plays Amber Holt on the TV Series Parenthood now. She’s adorable!
Oh these look great. I love her scowls, though–they’re not pretty model scowls, but actual real scowls. They make me laugh.
“Her?”
:)
Yes! I was going to make this exact comment :)
Her?
Love this and her! She’s also currently on the show parenthood.
What a gorgeous collection! The high waisted shorts, nautical pieces & the long floral maxi are my faves.
Have a lovely day!
Cheers,
Savannah Marie
I just stumbled upon your blog and I never leave comments, but your references to Arrested Development have compelled me to do otherwise… what a wonderful collection and great shots! I can’t seem to find the lookbook, however… I too am now craving some of those Oxfords.
P.S. My favourite nickname for her from Michael was Bland…
Hehe, oh good! Sometimes I forget to mention all my other random interests besides fashion! Anyway, the Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff lookbook is on their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bass-Loves-Rachel-Antonoff/ Most of the shoes are already available on the Bass site, too!
Thanks so much for the lookbook link. Sadly the shoes aren’t shipped overseas, and I’m in Australia and now devastated, had my heart set on the turquoise and yellow ones. Sigh!
oh no! do you have any friends stateside who might be able to ship them to you?
Sadly no! I am currently in Berlin and was hoping they might be stocked in Europe, but of course these beauties can only be found in the US. We in Oz are always deprived :(.
i love this!! super duper cute :)

Great lookbook, particularly digging the shoes.
omg mayonegg is a model
I prefer to think of her as Roxy from Scott Pilgrim vs the World, myself…
I also absolutely love her in this. She’s a real-looking person with curves, and not model-tall. She looks like a girl who’s happened to be very lucky in her wardrobe, fashion-blogging like the rest of us.
Go Rachel Antonoff!
SO pretty! Love the polkadots pieces
love the whole collection!!! and the model!!!

I like all the frowns and pouts haha if I’d do that in my pictures I’d just look like I was hungry :/
I really like this whole polka dot action that’s going on, I’m not sure why but I feel like my closet is starting to look like I pull inspiration from I Love Lucy. I’m learning to embrace that.
Did I spy little bat buttons on a dress?? I’m in love.

Love this collection, and love Egg. (“you Have met her. you’ve met her and met her.”). But who is stocking this right now? i want to put my money where my mouth is, and not just leave it in the banana stand…
wow- i love everything about this this! i love her edgey stare into the camera – kinda reminds me of the photographer Cindy Sherman.
