most of my time spent in redlands involved kicking around town with family close by. i had these big plans to sneak away and get outfit photos in front of some of my favorite local landmarks, but of course, most of those plans fell through. on sunday evening, we decided to run over to this little old bookstore on redlands boulevard out in loma linda, but by the time we drove up, the last of the sun was setting behind the san bernardino mountains and the shop was closed. we poked around the cool little spot filled with cactus and dry brush and snapped a few photos before heading back to my grandparent’s house for banana splits and dairy queen blizzards.

family trips can be so relaxing, even if they don’t really go with your usual day-to-day plans. I love looove the last picture!

Redlands is home town for me too and i love knowing what you’re talking about and trying to guess exactly where you are in the pictures. I don’t think I’ve been to that bookstore though. I’ll have to check it out next time.
the bookstore was a funny one, too. i can remember passing by this place ever since i was a little kid, but never stopping in. when we went to check it out, we saw that it was a bookstore, but there was no sign. now i’m so curious to know if it’s ever open, and what kind of treasures they must have inside! if you go, you’ll have to tell me how it was!
I love your top!!!
i love these photos, especially the first and the second! great backdrop too.

Chic chic chic!
That tends to happen to me as well when around family: outfit photos fall by the wayside.
I haven’t had a banana split in ages! That sounds delightful.

Hi Erin, love the outfit and that little crop top makes me wish I didn’t like ice cream a little tooooo much. Just wanted to tell you that I love all your photos… You really manage to create these little editorials that I really appreciate. Not to be all spammy, but I sew all my own clothes and just made a dress I think you would appreciate (reminds me of your striped T): http://closetcasefiles.blogspot.ca/2012/07/after-dinner-mint.html
can I just say I adore your pose in the first picture, it reminds me of little boys getting their photo taken. You’re so cute!
