last night i was looking back through my nyfw photos and just discovered my photos from the peter som spring 2013 show. i was editing these photos on the flight home from new york when my battery died, and in my jet-lagged daze, i must have managed to save them in a sneaky spot on my computer. but it was such a lovely show, so i’m glad they turned up! the collection was a mashup of ladylike silhouettes with plenty of retro inspiration, taking cues from both the ’60s and the ’70s. what really caught my attention was a particular snakeskin patchwork and a host of cute, ’60s-inspired mini dresses with pretty details. i also loved the little mesh headbands neatly places atop tousled hair with little streaks of punchy colors.

Wow! I can totally see where the inspiration is coming from, yet all the pieces are so modern!
