lately i’ve been living in little mary janes with mini dresses, messy hair, and too much eye makeup. on this particular day, i was feeling fancy, so i wore this combination of gold, lace, and crocodile for a very indulgent sunday brunch. much of the rest of my weekend was spent in shorts and a chambray shirt as i tackled the process of purging my apartment of the excessive amounts of crap that’s been piling up over the past four years that i’ve lived here. after unloading my vintage collection at my pop up shop at pretty penny on friday night, i felt as though a weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and i found myself motivated to continue the purge. it feels so good to get rid of all those pieces that were either too small or too big, or just not quite right. and going through so many years of accumulation has been a nice time to reflect, but also a nice time to start fresh.

I love your little floating shots. hehe ^_^
Lovely mock croc shoes!
thank you! they’re my new favorites!!
Lace and gold suit you beautifully, Erin :) I immediately recognized the Orla Kiely bag from the first snap, as I got the purse version for my wedding. I love the way the gold makes you feel all dressed up but still doesn’t look too sparkly, it’s just the cutest little thing with a bow!

You’re such a beauty!! I love the dress and the cute tattoo on the back of your calf :)
I love your dress! It’s amazing! This whole outfit is absolutely lovely.

You make lace look refreshing.
Love that dress, so ethereal, perfect for a floating shot.
thank you! i love that it’s both warm and sturdy almost sweater material but still lacy and delicate at the same time!
You are the queen of jumping shots!
Looking lovely as usual!

That Lauren Moffat dress is incredible. I’ve been wearing a similar uniform lately, so I know what you mean.
PS: Stop by my blog for my latest post – I found a vintage very Moonrise Kingdom dress!

wow! it floats! love your floating shots and i also like your tattoo..so cool!
Your collection of 1960’s mini-dresses is sosososo good! I love these shots with the white lace/desert background. They remind me of all the old 1960’s photographs tinted orange like a California sunset.
I love the image you conjure up there of little dresses and messy hair and lots of eye make-up. It actually does inspire me to get out of my usual autumnal funk (I think I must be the only person out there who hates in-between seasons) and dress up in a messy way a bit more. You look lovely!
Oh I so know that feeling! I used to move every two years back in Philadelphia. But now I’ve been in my house in CA for 2 1/2 years and could feel the need to purge creeping up on me…so I’m having a yard sale this weekend. Felt great just to put a bunch of stuff in boxes!
I LOVE your shoes.
Love the dress…so timeless……….and the touch of gold with that fabulous bag.
Great look.

yey for more jumping shots. I am glad that your spirits are able to be lifted through shopping. It doesn’t work for me. :(
I love your ’60s vibe! I’m very inspired by the ’60s as well :) Love all of your outfits!
