and since i teased you all with a little preview of the family affairs fall 2013 collection, it only seems right some of my favorite looks! the latest collection is a print explosion! this is rather timely for me, since i’ve been secretly hoarding tons of prints these days in the hopes of eventually incorporating them into my outfits. the inspiration for this collection is as varied at the prints. nina was inspired by romantic and dreamy vignettes, “imagine late evening swimming when the lights come out and birds fly in slow motion. summer is over, we pack our bags with warmer but endlessly entertaining outfits.” she also pulled heavily from film and music, citing harold and maude and the graduate, and david bowie’s hunky dory as some of her influences. you can certainly see the eclectic mix, pieces for a world traveller on an endless vacation sitting in hotel rooms between adventures soaking up tunes and watching classic films. a fairy tale i certainly wouldn’t mind living in!

that cape! swoon. And the pineapple dress. My friend has an unhealthy obsession with pineapples, she would love it.
I was just looking for something leopard! This collection is so awesome!
i’m not really a fan of leopard-print, but this post made me actually consider it! :) Cute!
yeah, it’s funny, i only just barely came around to the idea of wearing leopard in the past year or so. i used to think it was too garish, but now that i found a leopard coat, it’s all gonna be downhill from here, haha!
well, as long as it isn’t zebra, I guess ;) When it comes to prints with the actual animal on it, that’s a totally different thing, though!
this is gorgeous!

Now there’s no way I’m not buying the star print dress, thank you so much for sharing these photos! I’ve been wanting to get a drop-waist dress and a star print item from Family Affairs for a while, but now I’ll be able to check both boxes with one item, can’t wait!
cutest collection i have seen in a while.
the little black 1920s inspired dress with the bow trim is calling my name…
ahhh these are all so great! I also usually shy away from leopard print, but that looks so beautiful I may have just been convinced…
These looks are adorable! The first one’s my favorite! <3
