my look today is ever-so-slightly inspired by marianne faithfull. scrolling through the photos on pinterest, those vintage images of her in the sixties always catch my eye and capture my imagination. it’s an easy look, something i wore working as a stylist for a photo shoot a few weeks back, but the subtle details still make me feel quite glamorous. there’s just something about the luxury of a (faux) fur coat and a totally superflous pair of square-shaped shades. all the while balanced by the ease of a shift dress and opaque tights that lends an almost carefree ease to the way i walk and move.
wearing: steven alan silk dress, target tights, vintage mary janes from pretty penny, vintage coat from custard heart vintage, karen walker betsy sunglasses, orla kiely bag

Very Marianne Faithful! Love it! She is definitely one of my style icons as well… but you’re lucky since you have the hair to pull her look off!

let me tell ya– i was this close to not listing that coat it and keeping it for myself, but it was just a tad too short on me– i’m so glad it went to you! you’re looking lovely as ever. p.s. thanks for the link! :)
