whenever i go to new york fashion week, people ask me if i am there for my day job (modcloth) or for my blog. i never know quite how to answer because it’s a very happy mix of the two. i tend to opt for 12 – 14 hour days so i can fit in every single thing i could dream of doing while there like going to shows, visiting designer’s studios, going out to lunch with friends, repeat. this time around, i worked on a series of street style videos for the modcloth blog in addition to all of my running around, but it hardly felt like work because i got to pick out all of our interviewees, a bunch of cool girls i know who i think have interesting perspectives on personal style and the fashion industry at large. between takes, i managed to snap some photos of these amazing and talented women.
all photos where shot by me, some were originally published on the modcloth blog. you should watch their video interviews, too!

Love these shots! What wonderfully unique style these gals have.
I looked through a ton of NYFW street style shots. I mean, I love street style in general, but your series stands out. Fresh subjects and great style.
These shots transcend street style. They are more like portraits. Each one tells a little story about the person.
Also, I’m totally bonkers for Hannah. That hair!!
love every single person you chose to photograph. everyone has such a unique style that I love!
I read Rebbeca “The Clothes Horse” blog.. she is amazing…
