i know that today’s outfit isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. but after having so much fun in my family affairs coveralls, i decided i wanted to go for something even more literal and i found myself a pair of vintage fashion coveralls on etsy. and now i think i’m in love. yep, in love with a giant shapeless jumpsuit that you can buy in a plastic wrapper at home depot to wear while painting your house. or channeling dan aykroyd circa 1984 (the theme song has been stuck in my head all week). and when i pulled them on this weekend, my sister jokingly asked if she could call me flapjack (if you haven’t seen bottle rocket, then i highly recommend it!) silly references aside, i honestly feel super cool in these. no, they don’t “flatter” my figure, they don’t slim my waist or make me look taller, but that’s not the point. i really don’t think clothes always have to be for the sole purpose of making you look skinny or whatever.
so this is what i wore on easter sunday. there were no easter egg hunts, but it did get me excited for next year when adam will be old enough to prance around searching for hidden eggs. having him around has already made the holidays so much more fun. my grandparents bought him this ridiculous stuffed rabbit that sings and dances to a goofy easter song set to the tune of macarena. it was hideous and irritating, but his reaction was pretty much priceless. he furrowed his brow and stared at it with the most intensely quizzical look. and then later in the car on the long drive home, it was the only thing that stopped him from crying.
wearing: vintage coveralls from fair season, clare vivier messenger tote, peep toe high courtesy of swedish hasbeens, nars lipstick in heat wave

I agree- not everything has to be all sexy and skinny-making. Although, there is something sexy about loose and flowy white plus bright red lips. I think you rock this look!
such a great look!
lovely outfit!!! love white!!
I actually love this look on you! I’m not sure if I could pull it off, but you do! And the classic red lips and sandals make it very chic.
You wear the clothes – the clothes do not wear you! That’s why you rock those coveralls!!
I think the coveralls are awesome! Looks great with those black swedish hasbeens!
