one thing that i love most about the summer season is that it’s still light out at 8:30pm, as was the case when we snapped these photos before a night out. unfortunately, it was a little dark for photos, but i wanted to capture my silly little outfit, which is clearly somewhere between retro flight attendant and daffy duck! the hat is definitely what does it. i scored this darling little topper for only 5 bucks at the flea market. i’m sure it’s seen better days, but i’m happy to give it new life in the form of another cartoonish outfit. sometimes you’re just in the mood to play!
dress: vintage, gift from my mom
shoes: thrifted vintage
hat: vintage, from the alameda flea market
bag: j.w. hulme mini legacy bag
lipstick: ysl fard a levres rouge pur in rosy coral

what an adorable outfit!! i love to play with what i wear – if you can’t have fun dressing up then what’s the point?
exactly! so glad to hear that you agree! fashion is so much better when you can have a little fun with it!
That dress is the bee’s knees. i love yellow + white together!
So pretty!I love the light in these shot’s. Captures a summer evening perfectly!x
Its awesome! I love “cartoonish” outfits – so quirky and happy. Its a great combo that you won’t forget (and neither will I – I want a furry hat now. I can’t see it all that well, but it reminds me a little of the marc jacobs polka dot hats for f/w 2011 sans neck brace or whatever that thing is)

aha! i didn’t notice the similarity until you pointed it out! perhaps that was my inspiration!
When I read daffy duck inspired on your twitter, I just HAD to take a look. Fantastic! I’m glad you don’t take yourself too seriously when it comes to fashion.

I loved it. is very cool.
That dress is one of my favourite colours right now!
You look lovely, the hat “tops it off” perfectly for this look hehe. Yellow is such a good color on you! (yes, totally jealous : ) What amazing thrift/flea market finds & great vintage find of your mom on the dress… if only my mom could pick out such cute things! And I think the lighting makes these pictures really pretty, doesn”™t seem to dark to me!
aw, thank you, dusana!
Your blog is awsome! love your dress (:
You look adorable!
Cartoonish or not, this outfit is great. I love a mustard dress and a non-functional hat!
I need this dress!! XOXO
I absolutely love this outfit! You’re so right with the flight attendant thing, but you totally pull it off!
I love your cartoon outfits! Where did this one edventure out to?
oh, we just went out to dinner and a movie. nothing too special, but it was still fun to get a little dressed up!
These pictures are gorgeous, and your hat is adorable! My best friend is obsessed with vintage hats, and I know she’d be jealous of that one!
Awesome outfit! Thats dress is super cool.
you’ve really found your groove when it comes to fashion lately– every outfit is better than the last! and you always look 100% true to who you are (this, coming from someone who doesn’t actually *know* you, but i think you get the idea :)
oh wow, thank you! that’s such a nice compliment! i definitely understand what you mean, i’ve definitely been making a big effort to pull from within when i get dressed, so i’m glad to hear this! thank you!

thank you dylana! ;)
Must say, your mom has great taste. There’s been a few times, I’ve really loved an item you are wearing, scrolled down and seen it was a gift from your lovely mom {awe}. Now I see where you get it from xo
haha, thanks! she’s definitely the person who taught me what i know about vintage and about style in general. she’s the one who will buy me some crazy vintage piece and i’ll think she’s nuts, then 2 months later, i am obsessed with it! i got lucky!
so beautiful. x hivenn
so cute! before i read your post, i thought to myself, “this is how i wish flight attendants still dressed”. the detailing on your dress is really neat, too. are they sequins? embroidery?
it’s actually beading! i just completely forgot to get a shot of it up close!
This is so cute. I really love the yellow dress.
ooh. That is just the cutesy little hat!
